I created this bandwidth calculator primarily so I could quickly work out how many bits were in a given number of KiloBytes or MegaBytes. I was actually configuring all of the bandwidth gauges in SolarWinds at work (a network monitoring tool), and I needed to enter the exact number of bits rather than MegaBytes.
